FYP Sponsorship

CBIC screens member final-year projects and puts the strongest ones in front of Chinese enterprises looking for exactly that kind of work. Sponsorship can mean funding, components and equipment, technical mentorship, prototyping support, or a route to commercialisation.

Who it is for

Students working on a final-year project, and recent graduates whose project is still active. Team projects are welcome — register the team lead as the member and name the others in your submission.

Technical mentorship from Chinese engineers and researchers
Support with prototyping and component sourcing where a sponsor is matched

How it works

From application to outcome

1Submit your projectGive the title, the problem it solves, your current stage and what support you need — from your member dashboard.
2ScreeningCBIC reviews the submission and, where it fits a partner's interests, forwards it for technical evaluation.
3Matching and interviewShortlisted teams are interviewed. Enterprises decide which projects they wish to support.
4Sponsorship agreementTerms — funding, ownership, confidentiality — are set out in a separate written agreement between you, the sponsor and your institution.

Eligibility

  • Active CBIC membership
  • An original project you have the right to submit
  • A written description of the problem, approach and current stage

Please note

Your intellectual property stays yours. Submitting a project grants CBIC a non-exclusive licence to review and share it for screening only; anything further is governed by a separate agreement you sign.
